Sometimes life is hard and it affects even the youngest among us – children who are often overlooked. My passion is working with young children who have had traumatic life experiences, have experienced grief and loss, or are trying to figure out how to maneuver a world of big feelings and emotions. Play is the language of children. Using play therapy techniques (directed and non-directed) is the modality I use when working with them toward mental wellness.
My educational background includes a BSW from NSU in Tahlequah, OK; a Degree of Ministry from CFOT in Atlanta, GA; and an MSW from UALR in Little Rock, AR. I am currently enrolled in Heartland Play Therapy’s program in Fayetteville, AR. I’m married to my childhood sweetheart, Jonathan, and we have two adult children, Anna (who is married to Marcus) and Aaron (a college student) who are making great contributions to their communities. My hobbies are scrapbooking, art, baking, gardening, and canning food.
