Provides quality individual, family, and group therapies, as well as oversees paraprofessional services to clients of Living Hope Outpatient services. Provides comprehensive assessment and diagnosis, treatment planning and collateral intervention. All services will meet professional standards and be rendered according to their licensure or certification. Assists in receiving clients and placement of clients at discharge, as well as coordinating immediate aftercare services.

Secondary Functions:  Other duties as may be assigned by supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education/Skills:  Graduate of an accredited college or university with at least a master’s degree in a behavioral science discipline (prefer psychology, counseling, or social work background).
  • Licensure:  Licensed in Arkansas as a Mental Health Professional .
  • Experience: Prefer one (1) year post-master’s experience in psychiatric or mental health setting.  Must have completed orientation period in order to act as a team leader.

Mental Health Paraprofessional (Hot Springs, AR)

Essential Functions:

1.            Provides certain rehabilitative services for persons with mental illness under the supervision of a Mental Health Professional.

2.            Paraprofessionals may provide: crisis stabilization intervention, on-site intervention, off-site intervention, rehabilitative day service, therapeutic day/acute day treatment and collateral service.

Secondary Functions:  Assists in admissions, discharges, and support services, such as data collection and electronic input as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Skills:       Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, or related field.  NOTE:  Experience may be substituted for education, provided that the experience is matched year-for-year and is direct experience working with seriously emotionally disturbed children.  Successful completion of 40-hour Paraprofessional course.

Licensure:                  None required.                       

Experience:               Minimum of one year of experience working with emotionally disturbed children.

 Experience in a busy front office setting and must be proficient in multiple phone lines, appointment scheduling, co-pay collections and insurance verifications. Candidate should be dependable, reliable, punctual and highly efficient. 

Job Summary:  Receives calls and determines the nature of business, directs callers to the appropriate destination.   Updates client’s records and insurance information.  Greets clients, schedules appointments and calls clients to verify appointment times.  Perform a variety of routine clerical, secretarial, and administrative duties.  This position creates a positive first and last impression for the clinic and is pivotal to the clinic running smoothly and as efficiently as possible.  

 Essential Functions:

 1. Coordinating customer service activities for the clinic – assist in resolving complaints.

 2. Provides insurance verification and authorization.

 3. Calculates and collects client deposits and finalizes payment arrangements.

 4. Provides insurance follow-up and collection of outstanding balances.

 Secondary Functions: Other duties as may be assigned by Clinic Manager or Clinical Coordinator

 Qualifications:

 Educational/Skills: High School Graduate, prefer some experience in aspects of business office functions and/or efficient in provider insurance activities, payment arrangements, and electronic records; ability to work with physicians in a collaborative manner
