Job Summary:  Assembles, reviews, and maintains client files and medical records in a confidential and accurate manner following established policies and protocols; supports activities of the medical records department.

Retrieves medical records promptly upon request for therapists, physicians and/or other authorized individuals; tracks and monitors records location and return

Reviews incoming medical records documents including but not limited to diagnostic reports, visit notes, physician/therapist/RN notes, admission/transfer.discharge forms, certification/re-certification documentation, care plans, treatment plans, authorization forms, medication records and insurance forms/records; sorts and files in appropriate records in a timely and accurate manner.

Identifies late, incomplete or inaccurate documentation and, in accordance with established protocols, reports to individual(s) responsible for completion accuracy of documentation; tracks return of such documentation

Performs clerical duties including but not limited to typing, photocopying, faxing, and mailing as needed.

Completes requests for copies of medical records and mails as appropriate; coordinates charge record/invoice for medical record copies when appropriate

 

Closes medical records according to established protocols; purges charts annually and stores appropriately; maintains accurate record of stored files and destruction schedules.  Perform other duties as assigned

 

Education & Requirements:

High School graduate

One or more years of previous office experience in all aspects of business office functions.

Knowledge of medical terminology

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Ability to work with physicians in a collaborative manner.

 

Language Skills:

Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.

Additional languages preferred.

 

Skills:

Basic computer knowledge.

Clinical Coordinator

Essential Functions:

1.      Directly responsible for the efficiency, quality, and compliance of services provided in assigned service area. This includes organizing and implementing

         clinical services, supervising staff, and communicating with customers and community leaders.

2.      Responsibility of staff training/development for supervised staff orientation to work duties, policies, payment, ECR/Medical Record changes/updates, and

         standards of care practices; provides monthly staff meetings.

3.      Assists with providing annual education presentation to clinical staff.

4.      Participates in Clinical Coordinator and Leadership Advisory Team activities and meetings.

5.     Oversees Clinical Supervision and Leadership Advisory Team activities and meetings.

6.     Assists with Human Resource functions (i.e., recruitment, hiring, firing, disciplinary

7.     Oversees professional and paraprofessional services to LHSE clients. (As needed assists with receiving clients; providing comprehensive assessment and

       diagnosis, treatment planning, and collateral, client discharge arrangements and coordinating aftercare services.)

8.    Assures medical billing and records are kept in a quality, up-to-date manner. 

Secondary Functions:  Other duties as may be assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications:

Education/Skills:               Graduate of an accredited college or university with at least a master’s degree in a behavioral science discipline (prefer psychology, counseling, or social work background).

Licensure:                          Possess independent Behavioral Health licensure in Arkansas as a Licensed Psychologist, Licensed Certified Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Psychological Examiner – Independent (LPE-I), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or an Advanced Practice Nurse or Clinical Nurse Specialist (APN or CNS) with a specialty in psychiatry or mental health and a minimum of two years clinical experience post master’s degree.

Experience:                        Prefer one (3) years post-master’s experience in psychiatric or mental health setting.

Billing /Collection Associate

Job Title:  Billing /Collection Associate    Supervised by:  Clinic Manager

 

Job Summary: Responsible for coordinating and participating in customer service activities for the Clinic. This includes verification and authorization of insurance, resolution of client complaints, calculating and collecting client deposits and finalizing payment arrangements with client/guarantor. Answers client payment questions. Responsible for insurance follow-up and collection of outstanding client balances. Performs minor secretarial duties. Participates in the Business Office performance improvement activities.

 

Essential Functions:

 

Coordinating customer service activities for the clinic and assist in resolving complaints.

 

Provides insurance verification and authorization

 

Calculates and collects client deposits and finalizes payment arrangements

 

Provides insurance follow-up and collection of outstanding balances.

Qualifications:

 

Education/Skills: High School Graduate, one or more years of experience in aspects of business office functions; prefer efficiency in provider insurance activities, payment arrangements, and electronic records; ability to work with physicians in a collaborative manner

Provides quality individual, family, and group to Living Hope Outpatient services. Assess and diagnose treatment planning & collateral intervention. t  All services will meet professional standards and be rendered according to their licensure or certification.

Assists in receiving clients and placement of clients at discharge, as well as coordinating immediate aftercare services.

Position: Mental Health Paraprofessional                                     

 

Supervised by:  Clinical Coordinator

Job Description

 

Provides certain rehabilitative services for persons with mental illness under the supervision of a Mental Health Professional.

 Paraprofessionals may provide: crisis stabilization intervention, on-site intervention, off-site intervention, rehabilitative day service, therapeutic day/acute day treatment and collateral service.

 

Secondary Functions:  Assists in admissions, discharges, and support services, such as data collection and electronic input as assigned. Perform other duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Education/Skills:         Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, or related field.  NOTE:  Experience may be substituted for education, provided that the

                                           experience is matched year-for-year and is direct experience working with seriously emotionally disturbed children.  Successful completion

                                           of 40-hour Paraprofessional course.

 

Licensure:                     None required.                              

 

Experience:                   Minimum of one year of experience working with emotionally disturbed children.
